Wish List for the program
Any monetary donations help to off set our significant deficit as a result of state funding cuts
Endowment foundation for building maintenance (buildings require upkeep and maintenance and the State is not always willing to adequately fund this);
Endowment foundation for staff longevity allotments or a sabbatical for long term staff (we want to be able to hire and retain best possible staff; current compensation puts that in jeopardy).
$25,000
Window replacement throughout original house (expensive due to historical needs, but would improve comfort and make Antrim more GREEN);
Creation of a family training workshop program (as a means of making our work with the girls more effective);
Endowment foundation to fund a specific self-esteem/self-empowerment individualized workshop for each girl;
Fund a trial/demonstration project of in-home ISO for 4-5 girls for 6 months each;
Annual budget supplement so staff could be compensated adequately (our salary levels are not competitive);
Funding to start a mentorship program;
Funding to purchase a Victorian garden shed, complete the landscaping and establish a horticultural program with flowers and vegetable gardens and program for the girls;
Fund an endowment program for scholarships for higher education for girls who have been at the Shelter;
Funding for partnerships with local businesses for internships for the girls (i.e. hair salon, bakery, coffee shop etc. and pt staff work for the program;
Initial funding to provide for increased adventure programming.
$10,000
Front door replacement (front door is more than drafty, so replacement would add to comfort and GREEN of Antrim; must meet historical requirements);
Driveway/parking area improvement (entry from street is steep – and some vehicles drag or get stuck; utility vehicles barely can negotiate in winter and parking is not sufficient);
Provide more adequate course reimbursement and allow more staff to participate in trainings (including coverage at Shelter);
Structural study (if needed) and renovation of 3rd floor space;
Funding for a music program for the girls;
Funding to build a Victorian deck with picnic area;
