Immigrant Survivors of Domestic Violence
The Immigration Legal Assistance Project assists immigrant victims of domestic violence to apply for relief under the Violence Against Women Act. The law enables abused immigrant men and women who are married to a United States citizen or lawful permanent resident (“green card holder”) to petition for legal permanent residence without the help of their spouses.
