LSS has developed a broad range of affordable residential and community-based programs to meet the full spectrum of needs of the older adult population and their families.
The Lutheran Church has been serving older adults in need of residential and nursing care since 1918, when the Lutheran Home of Southbury (LHS), Connecticut, was founded. Today, LHS administers five residential programs in Connecticut and Massachusetts that encompass a continuum of care for older adults, from skilled nursing and rest home care to assisted living, low income housing and specialized care for those with Alzheimer’s and other memory impairment challenges.
