Thinking About a Miracle
How do you describe a miracle? How do you put words to God’s activity in the world? How does one portray for another person how God changes lives for the better? As Lutherans we might talk about “Faith Active in Love” and use those words to describe a miracle. When lives are transformed through the service of love; healing is brought to those who struggle for relief and justice is served for those who have dwelt on the edges of privilege and power – is that one way of pointing to the message and work of God in Christ as the miracle worker?
LSS is one way God works miracles among God’s people; healing, housing and providing hospitality for those among our communities who need a miracle in their lives – “Faith Active in Love” serving and caring for those in need. As we ponder the Miracle of the Incarnation, we invite your prayers, your involvement and your financial support. Your gifts share the Miracle of God’s love incarnate with more than 4,000 New Englanders everyday. Thank you for your part in that miracle and may God bless you in these weeks celebrating God With Us. Pastor Christopher Eldredge, Vice President for Advancement & Church Relations
